Cigna Coverage Availability & Fees
Cigna offers several different dental plans. Each one has its own set of fees, stipulations, and coverage levels. It is important that you set aside a bit of time to familiarize yourself with the details of your unique policy. In the meantime, here are a few key points to keep in mind about how your coverage might work:
- Preventive services are often up to 100% covered. This typically includes exams, routine X-rays, and cleanings.
- Basic restorative treatments, such as fillings and non-surgical extractions, may be up to 80% covered.
- Major treatments, like dentures, crowns, and certain types of oral surgery, may be around 50% covered.
Dental implants, one of our specialties at The Face Dental Group, may be partially covered under some Cigna plans. If you have questions about how your policy might apply to the treatments we offer, our knowledgeable team is ready to assist you.
We can also help you with other aspects of your insurance. For example, your plan is likely to enforce an annual maximum, which is a yearly limit on the amount of money that Cigna is willing to pay for approved services.
